So what is Homeopathy?

According to the NHS, homeopathy is “treatment based on the use of highly diluted substances, which practitioners claim can cause the body to heal itself.”

So what exactly does this mean?

Well homeopathy is Pseudoscience – a claim that is falsely presented as scientific, but it cannot be reliably tested. Some people argue that it only works as a placebo effect, and there is the argument that there is no good-quality evidence that it can improve health. That said, many articles online state that it can have healing effect, and Dr Bob Leckridge (the president of the Faculty of Homeopathy) there is exiting evidence that homeopathy works, “something that hundreds of doctors and their patients have known for 200 years.”

Whether or not you believe in homeopathy, there are many treatments available, and you may just have to try these medicines for yourself to see if they really do have any positive effect. Common homeopathic medicines include Arnica, Ignatia and Chamomilla among others.
