How a run a day can keep the doctors away

It’s not easy to psyche yourself up for a run after a hard day’s work, but it is worth doing if you’re looking to stay in shape next year. As we head deeper into winter, the days feel short, and the nights feel long, but that doesn’t have to stop you goin for a quick run around the block.

If you live in an area with well-lit streets, then there really are no excuses! One of the best ways to stay motivated is to get your running outfit ready the night before, so it’s waiting for you when you arrive home from work. You can then prepare the dinner, enjoy a 30-45 minute run and then arrive home to relax for the rest of the evening.

Running really doesn’t have to be a chore, and it’s all about getting into a routine. Remember though, you should always combine cardio with weights for best results.
